Sarah Beckstrom, a Summersville native, graduated from Webster County High School in June 2023 and enlisted in the National Guard soon after. The community has come together to honor Beckstrom's memory, with vigils held across West Virginia. "Though her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark that's going to last forever."
