Allegations of Workplace Mistreatment Emerge

A recent legal filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court has brought new allegations of workplace mistreatment to light, this time targeting reality television personality Kylie Jenner. The lawsuit, filed by a former housekeeper named Juana Delgado Soto, details a series of alleged grievances experienced during her employment.

Claims of Unfair Labor Practices

Soto, who reportedly began working for Jenner in May 2019, claims that for the initial years of her tenure, she was not provided with the legally mandated meal and rest breaks. This fundamental aspect of labor law is designed to ensure employee well-being and prevent exhaustion.

Escalation of Alleged Abuse

The lawsuit further contends that the work environment became significantly more challenging after Itzel Sibrian was appointed as Soto's direct supervisor in late 2023. According to the court documents, Sibrian is accused of making demeaning comments about Soto's accent and perceived immigration status, as well as using derogatory language. A complaint to human resources reportedly led to Sibrian's temporary removal, but his subsequent reinstatement, the suit alleges, was followed by retaliatory actions. These included a reduction in hourly pay, from approximately \( \$41.66 \) to \( \$35 \), the assignment of what are described as unreasonable workloads, and disruptive changes to her work schedule.

Personal Milestones Overshadowed

A particularly poignant claim within the lawsuit involves an incident on Soto's birthday. It is alleged that when Soto attempted to leave work to observe her birthday, Sibrian threatened her with termination. The lawsuit quotes Sibrian as saying, “No one cares about your birthday, Kylie is having a dinner.” This statement, if true, suggests a dismissive attitude towards an employee's personal life, even on a significant occasion, while prioritizing the employer's social events. Soto reportedly stayed late and missed her own surprise birthday party as a result.

Further Allegations Against Other Staff

The legal filing also names housekeeping supervisors Patsy and Elsy, who are reportedly involved in a separate lawsuit against Jenner. Soto claims that in March 2025, these supervisors allegedly denied her request for time off to mourn the recent death of her brother. The lawsuit further states that Patsy and Elsy spread rumors about Soto’s grief and compelled her to clean up trash they had deliberately scattered. In a distressing turn, Soto alleges that when she became distressed and sought water, she was told she was not permitted to "drink Kylie's water." Later that same month, these supervisors allegedly refused to allow Soto to attend her brother's funeral mass.

A Letter to the Employer and Subsequent Fallout

The lawsuit details Soto's attempt to communicate her distress directly to Jenner in April 2025. She reportedly wrote a letter detailing the alleged harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, leaving it on Jenner's massage bed. The letter, as described in the suit, expressed feelings of mental abuse and an apology for bringing these issues to Jenner's attention, suggesting a belief that Jenner would intervene if aware of the situation. The day after this letter was left, Soto claims she was threatened with dismissal and told that Jenner did not care about her. The lawsuit asserts that following this communication, the alleged retaliatory conduct intensified, including restrictions on bathroom access, being forced to clean a doghouse, and prohibitions against looking at or smiling at Jenner.

The legal proceedings are ongoing, and the allegations presented in this lawsuit are subject to further examination and legal processes.
